You are What You Feel

On some level, Barack Obama felt like the president, even though the facts were against him. The facts said America as a country was not ready for a president whose skin was not white. But that half-black man felt his way into the White House anyway.

At one point, Hillary Clinton said she would accept Barack Obama as a vice president, and he said, HOLD IT! I’m not running for vice president. He was running for president. Where would a discussion about vice president come from? The facts. The facts suggested that vice president was the highest office Barack Obama could hope to achieve. History tells us different. Hillary never won a presidency; it was Obama who did that.

Barack Obama broke barriers. He turned an impossibility into a possibility. He was able to achieve this amazing feat because he felt that he was going to be the president of the United States. He believed in what he felt. It felt right for him, even when he lived in the country that enslaved people of his race. It felt right for him, even when there was a white woman saying, “be my vice president.”

Obama went with what he felt, and we see that he was able to turn this feeling into reality, and it has not become America’s history. What are you feeling that your mind might say, “That’s totally ridiculous and impossible!” But you feel it in your heart. You feel it so strongly, even if it’s not making any sense right now. Go with that. Protect that feeling and ask the Holy Spirit for the next step and the next feeling.

The facts will always try to trick you out of acting on your feeling. You have to learn to

shift and manage your energy to maintain your hold on that feeling. If you don’t, a smooth operator like Jacob will swoop in and take what is meant to be yours. Don’t you dare lose your birthright as a result of being tricked out of your feeling.

Some of you are unemployed because you feel unemployed. It is because you feel unemployed that you are unemployable. Even if someone gave you a job, you couldn’t keep it, because of the way you feel. You don’t feel entitled to it. You don’t feel like having a job is something that should be true for you.
